This is all just a theory, but it would make a lot of sense.
So you may get a patch on Steam or GOG instantly, while on Gamepass there might be that 3 week lag. ://Initiate FREE CONTENT HALLOWEEN PACK Jack oLantern headgear Skeleton. Now what i'm thinking is, MS will most likely still have the exact same policy with the Windows Store and Gamepass because that is still technically all under the Xbox umbrella. What i'm saying is, even if the publisher is willing to pay for a hotfix or for frequent patches, there is still going to be that 3 week LAG through the MS and Sony eco systems to arrive on the consoles, now you have developers that will just push that patch to PC ASAP and the consoles get it when they get it, and other Devs that have contracts that everything must be in perfect parity so the PC can wait 3 weeks for that Hotfix as well (especially under big publishers like EA). That Hotfix arrived 3 Months later with the next DLC, in the meantime Server Admins were forced to forbid the use of flashbangs and kill/kick anyone who had one in the inventory. EA was only patching the game once every 3 months along with the DLC releases. The Ascent is a solo and co-op Action-shooter RPG, set on Veles, a packed cyberpunk world. It was pretty game breaking, at least one Developer on the Public Test Server subreddit said they were trying to get a hotfix for this out, it was an easy fix.
Four new Steam point shop items have also been added, which includes 2 new Halloween animated Avatars, and 2 new Halloween Stickers. The game is also 20 off from October 28 to November 1st. I've seen Battlefield 4 developers after, a patch that broke something dumb, i think it was flashbangs that blinded everyone in a radius, no matter if there were walls in between or if you were looking away, you just got blinded if you were in range, that horribly broke maps like Lockers and Metro. There's a free Halloween pack included in The Ascent update, which includes The Jack o’Lantern headgear, The Skeleton shirt, and A Skull Face Tattoo. That process costs the Publisher money every time. With Xbox there is this thing where MS (Sony with PlayStation as well) has this 3 week process of verifying patches, i guess so it doesn't horribly break the console or whatever.
